Townsend Smith

In 2013, Townsend quit his day job to work in his first professional kitchen. Whether it was a quarter-life crisis or a stroke of genius is debatable. In any case, after working his way up through various NYC kitchens, the self-taught chef is now a respected cook all over the northeast.

Growing up between Montana and New York, Townsend was exposed to all sorts of regional cuisines and cultures. Inspired to recreate his favorite dishes, he began cooking at a young age. While backpacking through Patagonia in South America, Townsend gained a deep appreciation of the art of smoke and fire, studying with gauchos and learning the art of the asasdo. Townsend brought these skills and techniques back with him, and is excited to share them with you and your guests.
